Jackson Memorial Hospital, Pediatric Dialysis Unit Expansion
Miami,FL
Mechanical and Plumbing design, construction documents and administration, for the HVAC system replacement for this unit; sanitary, medical gases, domestic and reverse osmosis water to 2 new stations in an existing pediatric dialysis area. Project included minor renovation to provide a new equipment room with ventilation and sinks. Provisions for maintaining negative air pressure in work areas as per ICRA and AHCA requirements were provided.
Baptist Hospital, Pediatric Pharmacy Air Conditioning Upgrade
Miami,FL
Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection design, construction documents and administration for the design and construction administration of a chilled water air conditioning system in an existing pharmacy. The design involved review of as-built/record drawings and site verification of existing conditions, surveying of all existing equipment and hoods within the pharmacy space to establish total heat rejection from the equipment and ventilation requirements. Provisions for maintaining negative air pressure in work area as per ICRA and AHCA requirements were provided.
Doctors Hospital – AHU-17 and AHU-19 Replacement
Coral Gables, Florida
Replacement of a 40-Tons and a 50-Tons, 100% Outside Air, Chilled Water, Air Conditioning Systems, for the second and third floor; each floor with 36 patient rooms, nurse and support areas, 13,000 sq.ft. each. This replacement included a survey, analysis and replacement of the DDC controls and building energy management system; Analysis of the outside air, supply and exhaust requirements for these floors to comply with AHCA guidelines. The main owner’s requirements for this project was to ensure controlled operation of the patient wings without interrupting to the daily hospital operations, and to replace the existing inefficient air handling units. The former requirement was met by providing the temporary air handling units on the roof and the temporary chillers at ground level. The latter requirement was achieved by careful load analysis to match the energy efficient air handling units with the load they are serving and to provide a sequence of operation thru the integration of the Direct Digital Control (DDC) system into the building management system.
Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic
Evansville, IN
Mechanical Advanced Schematic Design for a new three story Outpatient Clinic. Approximately 130,000 sq.ft. total area. The Project comprised of design for a 500-Ton chiller plant, including cooling towers, chilled and condenser water pumps, heating boilers, and nine air handler units. Energy Analysis for the entire facility, applied energy conservation measures to maximize energy savings such as designing an Energy Management System with DDC controls with capability to connect to be monitored and controlled by the VA central location.
Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic
Willmington, NC
Mechanical Advanced Schematic Design for a new one story Outpatient Clinic. Approximately 98,000 sqft total area. The Project comprised of design for a 440-Ton chiller plant, including cooling towers, chilled and condenser water pumps, heating boilers, and seven air handler units. The Project design requirement was to achieve LEED silver rating. Energy Analysis for the entire facility, applied energy conservation measures to maximize energy savings such as, the use of high efficiency chillers, economizers in the roof air handler units, dedicated outside air units for specific rooms, demand control ventilation, variable pumping system. In this energy analysis it was achieved 16% savings against ASHRAE baseline.
